Yankee Candle - Vanilla Lime vs Key Lime Pie

Good morning, Yankee Candle addicts.

Today, I thought I'd do something a little bit different. In this post I will be comparing both these candles and giving my overall opinion on the two and which is my overall favourite.

First, let's talk about Vanilla Lime. I believe this was one of my first large jars I purchased back in December 2013, when my obsession started.

On the Yankee Candle website this reads;
Smooth and refreshing - the creamy richness of vanilla with sweet cane sugar and a zesty lime twist.

This candle is beautiful, don't get me wrong. It's a very fruity, fresh scent. And I love it on cold sniff. However, once burning, I found it quite underwhelming. The vanilla with the lime is fantastic, a perfect match. But like I said, once burning, I wasn't impressed.

The presentation of the candle is again beautiful as any other Yankee Candle. The wax is this beautiful lime green colour. The picture is also a lovely image. It seems to be a lovey, cool glass of some kind of cocktail. As ever, looking at the presentation of the candle makes me want to drink/eat whatever is displayed.

Overall, I'd give this candle a 4 out of 5.

Next, we'll move into my favourite out of the two. Key Lime Pie.

Sadly, this doesn't have a description online, so once again I'll try and explain this scent as best I can.

This candle is a beautiful pure lime scent. I love it. Many people would say it's boring because the only note I can pick up is lime.
I would have liked a pastry type note in there considering it is a pie dessert.

The look of this candle is beautiful and in my opinion a bit better than the Vanilla lime. It has a beautiful Key Lime Pie in the foreground which looks so juicy and so good to eat. There's also slices of the pie in the background which also looks amazing and edible.

Overall, for this candle I would give it 5 out of 5.
Yes, this isn't for everyone, but I love a good lime scent. And even though it lacks the pastry side, for me it still delivers.

With all that being said, they're both fantastic candles. But I think for me, personally, I'd go with Key Lime Pie. Though, if you can't get your hands on this one, settling for Vanilla Lime will be worth it.

Yankee Candle - Juicy Watermelon

Hello again. Yes, I thought I'd go ahead and review another Yankee today considering I'm not doing too much at the moment.

Everytime I look at this candle, it just makes me want to sing Drunk In Love by BeyoncĂ©. I'm pretty sure they have different meanings, but I'm subconsciously singing to myself. Haha.

Right, for the description on the Yankee Candle website;
The ultimate summer refresher . . . the sweet, cooling scent of juicy watermelon.

Not the best description in the world, but it pretty much cuts to the chase. This candle is superb. Literally smells just like a fresh, cool watermelon. If I could, I'd eat this candle.
The label is beautiful too. You get the ice in the background and the watermelon in the foreground. It's a very beautiful looking candle.

With all that being said, I'd give this candle a 5/5 for cold sniff and the presentation.

Sadly, this candle is not readily available in the UK. You have to do some digging to get this. It is very much worth it though if you're able to get your hands on it. Trust me, you'll be thankful you did the research.

Yankee Candle - Happy Halloween

Hi, my name is Callum and welcome to my blog. In this blog I will be talking about all things Yankee. Giving my reviews on certain products, opinions and also I'm here to offer any help that one might want when it comes to picking the best Yankee Candle for you.

In this first blog post, I thought it would be great to talk to you about a new Yankee Candle that I've recently recieved. That being Happy Halloween.
I tried to find a decent description online, but couldn't seem to find one. I looked on the USA website and still had no luck.

Therefore, I will be giving it my best shot at explaining what this scent is. First, you get the main note of liquorice. Absolutely breathtaking. I love the smell of liquorice, always puts me in that September/October mood. Next, I get something sweet also. Not quite sure what, but it goes with the liquorice very well and compliments the flavor.

Because this is a rare collectors candle, I don't think I will be burning this anytime soon. Though if I do, you'll be the first to hear my thoughts.

Thanks again if you took the time out of your day to read this. I'm a beginner so I'll learn as I go along.
